After a roaring response to the recent unveiling of the Fox Australian Supercross Championship’s opening 2024 round at Kayo Stadium on Saturday 12 October, the City of Moreton Bay is gearing up for the extreme action and entertainment, that comes with the in-demand supercross championship.

To mark tickets going on sale for the highly anticipated Redcliffe event, a media launch took place this morning at the Redcliffe Jetty featuring FMX star and event ambassador, Harry Bink, along with leading & local Australian Supercross riders Luke Clout, Nathan Crawford, Kaleb Barham and Nixon Darragh, along with the City of Moreton Bay Mayor Peter Flannery.

To showcase the high-octane action fans can expect at Kayo Stadium on October 12, Bink base jumped out of a helicopter landing on Moreton Island – caught a ride to shore with The Mad Hueys in their boat – where he then hopped on a motorbike to perform a double backflip on the iconic jetty, the first of its kind on a pier.

The jaw-dropping stunt sets the scene for a thrilling Australian Supercross event at Kayo Stadium, that is expected to sell out, with fans encouraged to secure their tickets early.

Championship Director, Kelly Bailey was on site at the Redcliffe Jetty this morning to help launch tickets on sale.

“We’ve been absolutely blown away by the response to the opening round in Redcliffe,” said Bailey.

“We knew Queenslanders were eagerly awaiting the return of supercross to their state but their passion and anticipation for the event has been incredible. We can’t wait to welcome old and new fans for an unforgettable experience at Kayo Stadium come October.

“Equally, reaction on the location and stadium has been excellent with strong sentiment from our travelling inter-region and inter-state fans who are keen to make a weekend of it in the City of Moreton Bay. It’s shaping up to be an amazing event.”

City of Moreton Bay Mayor Peter Flannery said he was delighted to welcome Supercross riders, event crew and fans to the City.

“Events like these are great for our local businesses and give tourists the opportunity to discover our many attractions and hidden secrets across the City of Moreton Bay,” Flannery said.

“I hope people will make a weekend of it and explore all that our City has to offer.”
Tickets will be on pre-sale on Monday 10 June, with the on-sale to begin on Friday 14 June 2024.
